2 Bangladeshis were killed in the roof collapse of a building under construction in the United Arab Emirates

Two Bangladeshis and one Pakistani worker were killed when the roof of a school building under construction collapsed in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The accident occurred on Monday (September 9) at noon when the roof of the building under construction collapsed. Another Pakistani and 2 Arab nationals were injured. 

The two dead Bangladeshi workers are Abdus Samad (43) son of Mohammad Rafiq of Kurbanpur Union of Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar District and Farid Hossain Email (31) son of Belal Hossain of Dashgharia of East Shoshalia Ward Number 8 of Chatkhil Upazila of Noakhali District. 

Samad has been in the Emirates for 15 years and Email for 5 years. They were welding technicians by profession. Hasan Murad said that Samad worked at Al Zaidi Welding Works in Fujairah and Email at Al Jahan Welding Works Company. It is known that these two were the only source of income for the family. 

According to the local media of the Emirates, the roof of a government school under construction in Kalba City, Sharjah, collapsed. Immediately after the incident, the police, civil defense, and crime scene teams quickly rescued the injured and sent them to the local hospital. It is also known that the police are investigating the real cause of the roof collapse. 

Mahabubul Haque, a member of the executive committee of Bangladesh Association Fujira, said that the deceased Samad had booked a flight ticket to go to the country on September 22. Still, now his frozen lifeless body will go to the country instead. Where he has one daughter, one son, and one wife. On the other hand, there is a sick baby son, and wife in the email room.
