Dhaka South Multipurpose High School and College Dattarail Alumni Association UK organized 125 years of tradition and glory at the Impression event venue in London. This event was held on the 125th anniversary of October 1.
Alumni Association UK President Tashoor Ali presided over and Joint General Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Shanur and Mahila Sampadika Nazia Akhter Rabin jointly conducted the recitation of the Holy Quran by Atoyar Hossain Mujib. The program started with the National Anthem. Tashoor Ali gave the welcome speech first. General Secretary Nazmul Islam Nuru announced the name of the executive committee and introduced everyone.
Shamim Ahmed gave details about the Alumni Association UK by reminiscing some of his memories. Doctor Masuk Uddin gave details about the reunion. The program was in two parts. Discussion meeting in the first phase. Cultural programs in the second phase.
Mayor Rahima Rahman, Councilor of Newham Council, Bethnal Green and Bow MP Rushnara Ali MP, Dhawar Hamlets Speaker Zaheed Chowdhury, and Enfield Council Councilor Deputy Mayor Amirul Islam were present as chief guests. Alumni Association UK Vice President Abdul Qadir, Ajan Uddin, Dewan Nazrul Islam, Community Activist Nurul Islam, Barrister Ataur Rahman, Mujibul Haque Moni and Syed Enamul Haque, Legal Affairs Secretary Solicitor Kawsar Hossain Qureshi, Barrister Taj Uddin Shah, Aminul delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Abdur Rakib, former student of Dhaka South Multipurpose High School and College, banker and charter account unveiled the cover of 'Smriti Angina' magazine at the event. Convener of the sub-committee Moinul Islam and co-secretary Mahbub Hossain, convenor of the finance sub-committee Farid Ahmed, convenor of the reception sub-committee Salim Uddin Chakladar and Rahim Uddin Mukta, convenor of the publicity and cultural sub-committee Ali Reza spoke. He also introduced Michba Uddin, Shahadat Sayem, Kishwaar Anam Liton, Kamruzzaman Chakladar and Arshad Uddin of Publicity and Cultural Sub-Committee.
Everyone was gifted a 'mug' with logo on behalf of Shahriar Ahmad Sumon and Tanhar Ahmed Tuhin, proprietors of Simply Move. Apart from this, crests were given to former students of Dhaka South Multipurpose High School and College.
Abdur Rakib, Doctor Masuk Uddin, Solicitor Kawsar Hussain Qureshi, Barrister Taj Uddin Shah, Shaheen Samad son of Solicitor Alumni Association UK President Tchaur Ali Sahib, Naushad Ahmed son of Senior Vice President Shamim Ahmed, Abdus Sahab Uddin son of Sahab Uddin Sahib were among the alumni who received the crest. Samad, Taher Hamza, Matin Hossain and Dr. Ishrat Hossain.
Apart from this, father Tchaur Ali on behalf of Shaheen Samad, father Shafiq Hamza on behalf of Taher Hamza, elder brother Atiqur Rahman on behalf of Matin Hossain, father Abid Hossain accepted the crest on behalf of doctor Ishrat Hossain.
The program was directed by Maruf Ahmed. Hawa TV and Dunton's Grill and Spice congratulate and greet everyone. Under the leadership of Nazia Akhtar Rabin, the former students of Dhaka South Multipurpose High School and College performed Zarigan together. Documentaries were shown during the dinner service, which interwoven the traditions and memories of the school and the area.
Adiyan, a British Bangladeshi minor artist, performs a Bengali song. Then the dance was performed by the dance artists of Taltarang Academy. The cultural program was mesmerizing. Songs were performed by Shatabdi Roy, Rana Khan, Shankari and Beethi. Music chat goes on till midnight. Former student teachers from different cities of UK participated in the event.
