Malaysia BNP celebrates Ziaur Rahman's birth anniversary

BNP Malaysia branch founding president Dr. Ahmed Borhan has commented that if BNP founder martyr President Ziaur Rahman were alive, Bangladesh would have become a self-sufficient country where no one would have to go abroad on a worker visa.  

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized to mark the 89th birth anniversary of President Ziaur Rahman at a restaurant in the capital Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.  

Dr. Borhan said, if Ziaur Rahman was alive, Bangladesh would have become a golden country. Due to the country's development, people from abroad would have come to work in our country. However, it is cruelly ironic that we have lost that dreamer untimely. Due to his absence, today our children must go to different countries including Malaysia on worker visas.  

Malaysia BNP senior leader Shahid Ullah Shahid presided over the meeting and Md. Mehedi Hasan moderated it. Malaysia BNP general secretary candidate Alhaj Ali Hossain, Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan BNP leader Shariful Islam Sharif, Jubo Dal leader Mosharraf Hossain, among others, also spoke at the meeting.  

Kotaraya branch BNP president Liton Abad, general secretary Md. Dulal, Chowkit branch BNP advisor Mizanur Rahman Sumon, president Zahirul Islam Zahir, general secretary Md. Sumon, Kepong BNP president Kamal Uddin Rana, senior vice president Md. Ashraf, Kelang BNP president Mokhlesh Mia, Pangsapuri branch general secretary Md. Panna, Mosque India president Md. Ujjal, general secretary Shamim, along with a large number of leaders and activists of Tamingjaya, Srimuda, Cheras, Port Kelang, Batu Caves and Pudu branches of BNP and affiliated organizations were present at the event.  

At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the souls of BNP founder martyr President Ziaur Rahman and his younger son, the late Arafat Rahman Koko. Special prayers and supplications were also held for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment in London.
