Bangladeshi businessman wins Tk 30 million in UAE lottery

Bangladeshi expatriate Mohammad Mannan has won one million dirhams in the United Arab Emirates' Big Ticket weekly e-draw series lottery. This is more than three crore taka in Bangladeshi money. 

Gulf News reported this information in a report on Friday.

The report says that Mannan learned about the Big Ticket lottery a decade ago. At that time, his friends would discuss it. Then, out of interest, he too started buying lottery tickets.

At first, Mannan used to buy tickets every month with his five friends. But later he bought them occasionally. Recently, he bought two tickets from an in-store and got three more tickets as a promotional offer. And one of those three has brought him three crore taka.

Reacting to winning the lottery, Mannan said, "When I got the call from Big Ticket, I was overwhelmed with joy. I had a deep realization that I would win the lottery today."

Mannan said he will continue to buy Big Ticket lottery tickets. The Bangladeshi expatriate also encouraged others to buy these tickets.

Mannan does business in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the Emirates, and has been living there alone for the past 20 years.
