Bangladeshi youth killed after losing control of private car in Greece

A Bangladeshi named Jewel Mia (31) was killed after losing control of a private car in Greece. 

The accident took place on the Manloda-Patra road on November 4. The authorities have not been able to identify him until now because his face was disfigured in the accident.

Yesterday, November 13, the Bangladesh Embassy in the country announced the body's identity. They said that Jewel's body was in the country's Patra Hospital morgue.  

Jewel is the son of Suruj Mia of Algi village in Muradnagar upazila of Comilla. He has two daughters. He has been living in Greece for 15 years.

On the day of the incident, while driving a private car on the Manloda-Patra road in a rural area of ​​Greece, it lost control and collided with the road divider. Jewel died on the spot.

In this regard, the General Secretary of Bangladesh Community in Greece HM Zahid Islam said, We have sent NOC and application on behalf of the community to send Jewel's body to the country. It took time for the authorities to identify the victim due to the disfigurement of his face. I hope the body will go to the country soon after the legal process ends. 

Biswajit Kumar Pal, Councilor of Bangladesh Embassy, ​​said that it was not possible to identify Jewel Mia as her face was disfigured in the accident. An application has been made on behalf of the Bangladesh community to send the dead body to the country. After the legal process, the body will be sent to Bangladesh as soon as possible.
