Dubai expatriate Jahangir wins 20 million dirhams in lottery

Jahangir Alam, a Bangladeshi expatriate living in Dubai, has won 20 million dirhams in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket draw. 

His ticket number 134468, which he had purchased on February 11, won the lottery held on Monday, Khaleej Times reported.

Jahangir has been working in the shipbuilding industry in Dubai for six years. His family lives in Bangladesh. For the past three years, he and 14 friends have been buying big tickets regularly. He was hoping that one day he would win the lottery.

Jahangir said that he suddenly received a phone call. Then, he received the news of winning the lottery from a friend. Jahangir, 44, also mentioned that this win was for 14 friends and their families.

Jahangir wants to start a business in Dubai with the prize money and is willing to involve his friends in it. He will also continue to buy big tickets in the future.
