A senior citizen named Abdul Hannan (26) died of dengue in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. He died on Saturday morning in a garment factory in the New Industrial Area. He is the son of Rafiq Mia of Kulaura Thana of Sylhet Moulvibazar District.
The owner of that garment, Mazharul Islam Mahbub, said that Abdul Hannan joined his factory a few months ago. He was suffering from a fever for a few days. Then take medicine from the pharmacy assuming a normal fever. On Wednesday morning, when colleagues went to the room to call him for work, he did not respond and the matter was reported to the factory manager. Later the manager called an ambulance. They came and examined him and declared him dead.
Two days before this, the Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai issued a circular to warn expatriates due to the increased dengue outbreak.
According to the notification, for the information of expatriate Bangladeshis living in Dubai and Northern Emirates, the trend of dengue fever has been noticed in the United Arab Emirates recently. All expatriate Bangladeshis living in Dubai and Northern Emirates are requested to keep their respective places of residence clean and seek medical advice whenever they show symptoms of fever.'
