Mohammad Sarwar Mahmud, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Spain, has called upon the local expatriate Bangladeshis to participate in the 'universal pension scheme' in Barcelona, ​​Spain. 

The ambassador made the call in his speech as the chief guest at the public pension scheme awareness and motivation meeting held at 'Casa Bangla' restaurant in Barcelona on Thursday (September 28) at 5 p.m.

The ambassador said the pension scheme money is tax-free and remittances from abroad will also get incentives of 2.5 percent. This scheme will benefit the country along with expatriates in the long run. The government is giving more importance to this issue as the social and economic security of the expatriates is ensured through the pension scheme. He requested all those present to ensure that the benefits of the pension scheme reach everyone properly. 

In the meeting, Councilor (Commercial) Redwan Ahmed and Councilor (Political) Deen Mohammad Imadul Haque discussed the registration process and various facilities of the pension scheme. Local Bangladeshi political, social, cultural, and journalist leaders were present in the meeting.
