The largest relief convoy sent by the Bangladeshi diaspora is on its way to Palestine

A relief convoy loaded with 115 lorries with 1 thousand 840 tons of emergency food and medicine has left for Gaza from Cairo, Egypt. Among them are 35 lorries pulling red-green flags and banners of Bangladeshi charity fund 'World One Ummah Foundation' and 'Bangladesh Palestine Friendship Organization' in Egypt. These lorries, loaded with donations from the people of Bangladesh and expatriate Bangladeshis, contain at least 700 tons of emergency medicine, food and pure water, tabu, and daily necessities worth more than 5 crore rupees. This is the largest relief convoy ever sent by the common people of Bangladesh to Palestine.

These grants are the result of individual initiatives, voluntary work of Bangladeshi students studying in Al Azhar, and the joint efforts of Bangladeshi student organizations in Egypt with them.

Huzaifa Khan, the chairman of the World One Ummah Foundation and a student of Al Azhar University said that this year, 22 lorries have left for Gaza under the supervision of the World One Ummah Foundation. Among them, the Foundation's own 9 lorries along with 13 lorries of 11 other organizations have left for Gaza.

Bangladeshi student Abdul Aziz Tarafdar, president of Bangladesh Palestine-Friendship Association, said, "Since the Israeli invasion, the Grand Imam of Egypt Sheikhul Azhar Dr. Under the supervision of Ahmad Al Tayyib, about 7 thousand 840 tons of relief materials have reached Gaza so far. Also from the beginning, we have been responsibly sending aid directly to Gaza through Azhar regularly.'

Al-Azhar Baituz Zakat and Sadaqat House said that 115 lorries with 1 thousand 840 tons of emergency food and medicines from Cairo have left for Gaza for the oppressed helpless Gazans. 35 lorries full of emergency food and medicines are attached from the people of Bangladesh.

Secretary of the organization Major General (Retd.) Amr Lutfi praised the activities of Bangladeshi students in a video message of the organization.
