A Bangladeshi youth named Sagar Matubbar (26) has died after falling from a three-story building while working in Saudi Arabia.
He fell while working on the balcony of a three-story building in Dammam at around 1:00 pm Saudi time on Tuesday (February 18). He died on the spot.
The deceased, Sagar Matubbar, was a resident of Jandi village in the Tujarpur union of Bhanga upazila of Faridpur. He was the son of Abdul Latif Matubbar and the youngest of two brothers and three sisters.
Tujarpur Union Parishad member Tipu Munshi confirmed the matter. He said Sagar Matubbar went to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on a free visa five to six months ago and got a well-paid job in a construction company there.
This evening, I learned that Sagar died after falling from a three-story building while working. The news of his death has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
Sagar's parents are devastated by the loss of their son. The family wants his body to be returned to Bangladesh as soon as possible. For this, they have sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh government.
