Bangladesh's 53rd Armed Forces Day was celebrated in Malaysia with due dignity.
Bangladesh High Commission organized a reception on the occasion of the day at Hotel Royal Chulan in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday. The Chief of the Malaysian Navy, Admiral Dato Zulhelmi bin Ethanine, was the chief guest at the event.
At the beginning of the program, the national anthems of Bangladesh and Malaysia were performed. After that, a documentary on Armed Forces Day was screened.
After the screening of the documentary film, the chief guest of the program, Dato Zulhelmi Bin Ethnain, High Commissioner Md. Shamim Ahsan and Defense Advisor Commodore. Hasan Tariq Mandal kicked off the ceremony by cutting the wife's cake.

Hasan Tariq Mondal in his felicitation speech highlighted the significance of Armed Forces Day and drew attention to the good relations existing between the Malaysian and Bangladeshi Armed Forces. He expressed hope that the good relations between the armed forces of the two countries will be strengthened in the coming days.
