Fifty-two expatriates received CIP honors in 2024-2025 for their role in legal remittances, imports, and exports from the United Arab Emirates.

The award ceremony was organized grandly at the Ajman Umm Al Momineen Women's Association hall on Friday night, at the initiative of the Emirati community.

The event was presided over by the convener of the event, Yakub Sainik, and the chief guest was Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.

The guest of honor was Sheikh Mohammed Saeed Rashed Homaid Al-Nuaimi, a member of the Ajman Royal Family. Member Secretary Shibli Al Sadiq delivered a welcome speech.

Asif Mahmud said in his speech as the chief guest, 'There are 1.2 million expatriates in the United Arab Emirates. Many countries in the world do not even have a population of 1.2 million. You have not only succeeded in your field. You have contributed to Bangladesh as a pride and an important driving force of the economy. On behalf of the Bangladesh government, I express my respect and gratitude to those who send remittances through legal channels and work tirelessly to earn CIP status.'

The advisor said that harassment at airports and passport production has already been stopped and the government is working relentlessly to establish expatriates' voting rights. He assured that the problems of expatriates would be resolved quickly.
