Bangladesh for the first time at the International Islamic Trade Expo in Malaysia

Bangladesh is participating in the Malaysia International Islamic Trade and Tourism Expo for the first time under the initiative of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

Food and beverage, tourism, agriculture, health care, finance, education-related products, and information are displayed in 220 booths from 15 countries including Bangladesh in this fair which is running from August 1-4 at the International Trade Center in Malacca, one of the tourist cities of Malaysia. The fair was organized by GIBS Holding, a Malaysian Islamic company.

The Mela was inaugurated by YB Datuk Rais Bin Datuk Wira Yasin, Minister for Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management, in the Malaysian state of Malacca on 1 August.

Along with the fair, Islamic conferences, and forums, biographical presentations of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islamic cultural presentations enriched the event and attracted a large number of visitors.

On the third day of the fair, Saturday (3 August 2024), the High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed Malaysia Md. Shamim Ahsan visited the fair and stalls of Bangladesh. At this time, he interacted with the businessmen and visitors coming to the stall of the Bangladesh High Commission and informed them about potential trade and investment in Bangladesh.
