Ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, an Eid fair for expatriate women entrepreneurs was held in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The Eid fair was held in the hall room of the romantic Liton Turkish Grill restaurant in Lisbon from 3 pm to 10 pm local time on Saturday, March 15.

Around 30 stalls of expatriate women entrepreneurs living in Lisbon were set up at the Eid fair. In the run-up to Eid, local clothes, natural dye sarees, children's clothes, tips, local food items, various types of handmade pickles, women's local and folk jewelry, as well as makeup, decorations, and mehndi arrangements for women in preparation for Eid were also worth seeing.

The organizer of the fair, expatriate female entrepreneur Mahmuda Chowdhury, said, "This is the first time we have organized this fair in Portugal. I did not expect to receive such a response from all classes of expatriates in Lisbon. It is great to see so much presence and the sales of women entrepreneurs. There was a crowd of buyers at each of our stalls."

Expatriate woman Sonia Akhter Soya, who recently came to Portugal, said, "It is a great pleasure for us to have such a fair abroad. I feel very good to be here at this fair today. I feel an atmosphere like a domestic Eid market just before Eid. At the same time, coming here, I feel like I am not in a distant foreign country, but in Bangladesh."
