On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the Moraria Business Forum, an organization formed by Bangladeshi businessmen in Portugal, organized a discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil in honor of local and foreign guests, including expatriate business, social, political, regional, and journalist leaders in Portugal.
On Sunday, March 16, at a short pre-iftar discussion organized with about three hundred guests at the Liton Turkish Hall in Rome, Lisbon, under the chairmanship of the organization's convener Aminul Islam and jointly moderated by member secretary Masum Ahmed and member Iqbal Ahmed Kanchan, Maulana Kayes Ahmed Abdullah gave a brief discussion on the recitation from the Holy Quran and the significance of Ramadan.
The chief guests were SM Golam Sarwar, Head of Mission of the Bangladesh Embassy in Lisbon, Rana Taslim Uddin, President of Portugal Friendship Association, a senior figure of the Portugal Bangladesh community, Rony Mohammad, President of the Press Club, young entrepreneurs Rony Hossain, Abdul Mukit Chowdhury Selim, Minhaj, Russell Ahmed, Shahab Uddin, Enamul Haque, Shahid Ahmed Prince, Hafiz Al Asad.
Among others present were the organization's joint convener Imran Khan; joint member secretary Ahmed Liton; members Dalton Zahir, Anwar Hossain, Sumon Hossain, Laboni Khatun, Moraria Businessmen; leaders of the Portugal Bangla Press Club; and business, social, political, and regional leaders of Portugal.
Before Iftar, special prayers are offered for peace among the Muslim Ummah.
