The United Kingdom has announced an increase in visa fees

The new visa fee will come into effect in the UK from October 4. The announcement was made by the British government after considering various aspects. However, the country's Ministry of Home Affairs said that the increase in fees must first be passed by the Parliament.

A related bill was introduced in the country's parliament on Friday (September 15).

Earlier, however, the United Kingdom had said to increase the visa fee. The British Prime Minister hinted in July this year that visa application fees would be increased to help boost public sector wages.

India's state-owned news agency PTI reported that in the announcement of the new fee structure, the British government said that those who want to travel to the United Kingdom from October 4 will have to pay an additional 15 British pounds in addition to the previous fee for a six-month visa application. 127 pounds more to be paid in case of student visa.

Earlier UK travel visa was £100. As a result of the new reforms, it has increased to 115 pounds. Earlier student visa fee was 363; Now it is 490 pounds.
