A Bangladeshi youth was killed by a gunman in Fairfield, New Jersey, USA. The name of the deceased is Mohammad Shahriar Islam alias Arnab (28). The identity of the other injured person has not been released for security reasons. 

The incident took place at the Ramada Hotel in Fairfield on Friday (October 4) local time. Another person was injured in this incident. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office confirmed the matter. The deceased Mohammad Shahriar Islam was studying Engineering Management at Drexel University, Information Technology at American National University and Aeronautical Engineering at Nanjing University in China.

It is known that the Bangladeshi youth resident of Fairfield was working as a clerk at the front desk of Shahriar Ramada Hotel. Meanwhile, a guest came to take room booking. Shahriar had an argument with him. When he tried to go to the manager to resolve the matter, the miscreant shot Shahriar. The doctor declared him dead when he was rescued and taken to the hospital. 

Police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office identified the deceased Shahriar. His hometown is Kishoreganj. Saharyar has a wife and an 8-month-old daughter. His younger brother Tanzil Islam lives in the same area. Their parents are currently staying in Bangladesh.    

Meanwhile, police have not yet arrested anyone in this incident. The prosecutor's office could not tell the reason for his murder. But Essex County Prosecutor Ted Stephens said at a briefing at the hotel on Friday that there was no imminent danger to the public in the incident.
