BUET Alumni Australia Annual General Meeting

BUET Alumni Australia hosted the Annual General Meeting and Gala Night at the Bankstown Emporium Function Center in Sydney. 

About 300 former students of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) from Sydney and other cities participated in this event of Bangladeshi engineers in Australia last November 2 (Saturday). 

The Annual General Meeting was held early in the evening. The outgoing executive committee formally handed over the responsibilities to the newly elected committee. Ferdous Ahmed was elected president of the new committee, and Yamin Rajeev was elected general secretary. In the meeting, outgoing committee president Nishat Siddiqui introduced the outgoing executive committee members. General Secretary Mohammad Sohail presented a summary of the activities of the last two years, and Treasurer Mashfiqur Rahman presented the organization's financial statement.

 Entertainers entertain children by making face paint and balloon toys. Among the special guests were representatives of the Bangladesh Consulate General and sponsors.

One of the gala night's highlights was the release of Crore Papers. Also, as a symbol of unity and heritage, all BUET alumni were gifted North with the BUET logo.

Gala Night's cultural program features music, dance, recitation, and drama featuring BUET alumni and their families.
