20th North American Nazrul Conference in Canada

The 20th North America Nazrul Conference was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Toronto, Canada under the slogan "Song of Equality". At this time, the 125th Nazrul Jayanti festival was celebrated with the lighting of 125 candles.

The day-long program included reciting songs and daily performances of rebel communist and lover Nazrul, performances by the expatriate generation, painting competitions, seminars, and portraits of Nazrul. The main attraction of the program was the song of Nandit Nazrul music artist Khairul Anam Shakeel. The special attraction was the movie Raksusee based on the Nazrul story made in Toronto, Canada. 

Elora Amin was the host of the program hosted by Canada's local Desi TV. Anindita Kazi, daughter-in-law of communist poet Nazrul Islam, shed light on the life of Dadu Nazrul Islam.
