The Toronto Film Forum held a panel discussion titled 'A Conversation with Artist Ronnie Prentice Roy' in Toronto. Eminent freedom fighter and renowned musician and artist Ronnie Prentice Roy emphasized the importance of bringing the history of Bangladesh's independence and the events of the liberation war to the people through culture. He said that culture is important in moving forward as a nation. He made this call in a chat with artist Ronnie Prentice Roy organized by the Toronto Film Forum.
Maitreyi Devi gave the opening speech at the start of the chat at the Toronto Film Forum's Multicultural Film Screening Centre. Film Forum President Enayet Karim Babul welcomed the guests with garlands. Artist Rony Prentiss Roy discussed his music, participated in the Liberation War, and brought up his memories of the Liberation War, moderated by Forum General Secretary Monis Rafiq. At the same time, he shed light on the possibilities and obstacles of cultural practice in Bangladesh and abroad. Later he answered various questions from the audience.
