Film screening in memory of Prabir Mitra in Toronto

A film screening and discussion was held in memory of renowned Bengali film actor Prabir Mitra at the 'Multicultural Film Screening Centre' at 3000 Danforth Avenue in Toronto. 

Organized by the Toronto Film Forum, the discussion program moderated by the organization's general secretary Monis Rafiq featured filmmakers Fuad Chowdhury, Saiful Wadud Helal, journalists Sumon Rahman, Sheikh Shahnawaz, cultural figures Ahmed Hossain and Ashish Dutta. Film producer Habibur Rahman Khan, who was from Bangladesh, participated in the program by telephone to discuss the life and work of actor Prabir Mitra. 

The film 'Titas is the Name of a River' was screened at the event. 

It is worth noting that actor Prabir Mitra breathed his last on January 5 at a private hospital in Dhaka at the age of 81. He had been suffering from various ailments, including lack of oxygen in his body, for several days.
