Various events were held in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the UAE BNP's Victory Day, including discussions, award ceremonies, and cultural programs.
Yesterday, Al Badam in Sharjah was presented with the CIP award for its significant contribution to the national economy by sending the highest remittance to the country through legal channels. The Yakub Sainik Farm House premises were filled with sports, dance, songs, and daily recitation performances.
Sirajul Islam Nawab, the convener of the Victory Celebration Committee, chaired the event. Engineer Mohammad Salauddin Ahmed, the joint convener of the UAE BNP, was the chief guest. The keynote speaker was Zakir Hossain Khatib, a member of the UAE BNP convening committee and former president of Abu Dhabi BNP.
The chief guest said in his speech that to move forward Bangladesh, which stands today after overthrowing the autocratic government through a student-people's revolution to build a country without discrimination, discrimination must be eliminated in the diaspora as well as at home. It is necessary to conduct the activities of Bangladesh missions and provide services without discrimination.
Expressing his relief at being able to celebrate the victory festival independently, he said, "This gathering has become a mini Bangladesh. Along with adults, children and teenagers also participated in the day-long victory festival."
