A prayer and iftar mahfil was held at the Bangladesh Community Mosque and Islamic Center in France.
The Iftar Mahfil, attended by local journalists, businessmen, leaders of various socio-political parties, and community dignitaries, became a gathering for the Bangladeshi community living in France.
The event was chaired by Islamic Center President Sirajul Islam Salahuddin and jointly conducted by General Secretary Kazi Habib and Deputy General Secretary Nurul Islam. The event was hosted by the Bangladesh Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UNESCO, Khandaker M. Talha, as the chief guest.
In his speech as the chief guest, Ambassador Khandaker M. Talha said that the Bangladesh Community Mosque and Islamic Center France are working to dispel misconceptions about Islam and Muslims in world politics.
The special guest at the Iftar Mahfil was the mayor of the local city corporation, Aizuddin Taibi. Other speakers included Centre President Sirajul Islam Salahuddin, community figure Jalal Ahmed, FMC President Sheikh Okasa Ben Ahmed Daho, FMC General Secretary Hajda Marekar, France BNP leader MA Taher, local Edjoa Mayor Abdul Haque, Soeur Madam Eludi, Father Frederick, and Father Dominic Pell.
Later, the mosque's Khatib Ahmadul Islam led a prayer, praying for the welfare, happiness, peace, and prosperity of the country and the nation, including the Muslim Ummah.
