Iftar party in Mildura, Melbourne

Mildura is a small, well-kept town located about 550 km from Melbourne, the capital of the Australian state of Victoria. Mildura has only one mosque. According to the decision of the Mosque Committee, in line with Saudi Arabia, the Muslim Ummah begins the holy month of Ramadan from today, Saturday.

A few Bangladeshi families, mostly doctors, live in this small town searching for work. Johnny and Shipa's initiative turned the Iftar party at 32 Darlington Parade, after the first fast of the holy month of Ramadan, into a gathering of local Bangladeshi families.

Special prayers were offered at the Iftar ceremony for the well-being of Bangladesh and the Muslim Ummah.
