The 'Annual Program 2024' of Bangladesh Students Organization, Egypt (Ittehad) concluded on December 8 with various grand events. The program began at 6 pm and continued until 10 pm at the Burj Tadbiqiyin Auditorium in Abbasiya, Cairo. Organized by the joint initiative of the Ittehad Executive Council 2023-24 and the Advisory Council 2023-24, the program was attended by about 700 students studying in various educational institutions including Al-Azhar University, Cairo University, and Ainu Shams University in Egypt.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, jointly conducted by Ittehad General Secretary Al Amin Sarkar and Cultural Secretary Kazi Shamsuddin. Ittehad President Shahedul Islam delivered a welcome speech at the beginning of the program. Later, Mazharul Islam, Kamruzzaman and Zahirul Islam spoke as guests. In their speeches, the guests gave various directions focused on the students' studies and expressed hope that the trend of good results of Bangladeshi students in Egypt would continue.
During the award ceremony, 8 students in the MPhil/PhD thesis category, 40 students in the graduation category, and 65 students from various educational levels in the Top Ten, Excellent, and Very Good categories were awarded with honorary crests in the 2023-24 academic year. Six winners who secured first, second, and third places in the Sirtannubi (PBUH) and Hifzul Hadith competitions organized by Ittehad were also awarded.
Throughout the program, the Ittehad musicians continued to captivate the audience with the melodious melodies of Hamd, Naat and Islamic music performed in Arabic, Bengali and Urdu. President Shahedul Islam presented the 'Ittehad Annual Activities and Income and Expenditure Report 2023-24' to the Ittehad members present. Senior Ittehad member Kamruzzaman gave advice and a message of unity and harmony to everyone. The program was declared over with a timely and wise speech by the last Chief Advisor Tajdid Bin Wadud.
