Monir Khan, a popular singer of Bengali songs known as Anjana, has complained that my voice has been blocked for fifteen years, and my singing feet have been chained just because I follow a dissenting opinion. He said these things at the 'Monir Khan Sandhya' cultural program in cooperation with flood victims in Bangladesh at the G Tower in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. At the event, Monir Khan performed a song for free to support Bangladesh's flood victims.

At that time, Monir Khan said, being a follower of dissent, I had not had any opportunity to sing in government institutions for the past 15 years. Some private channels have called me, but not often. Maybe some of them got the phone why am I not being called? Either out of love or at the request of my audience, they have given me a show or two. But I have not been invited to any government national institution - for example, BTV, radio station, or Shilpakala Academy in these fifteen years.

He also said I have received the national award three times. Through common people's love fruit and pairing board. But I won the national award three times as the best singer. As an ordinary citizen, I have the right to receive a card or an invitation everywhere, on every occasion. I was deprived of everything just because I was of a different opinion (of BNP). It is because of this opinion that my voice has been suppressed for the past fifteen years. My singing feet were chained. A wall was raised, from which I fought silently by myself.
