Ladies Club Banquet Held in Sydney

The Bangladesh Ladies Club Australia organized its annual banquet for its members and their families on January 4. The banquet began at 10:30 am and continued until 4:30 pm in the beautiful surroundings of Rotary Park in Riverwood. The banquet began with a light breakfast. 

Before lunch, Bangladesh Ladies Club Australia President Rahela Arefin and General Secretary Councilor Shirin Akhter officially inaugurated the banquet by cutting a cake with everyone present. Amidst the joy and chatter throughout the day, sports were also organized.

The women's pillow passing and men's ball throwing were interesting. In women's pillow passing, Rowshan Parveen came first, Samsun Nahar came second, and Nadia Islam came third. The judging panel included Dr. Shayla Islam and Dr. Nazmun Nahar. 

On the other hand, in the men's ball throw category, Shajahan Chowdhury came first, Mamun Morshed Firoz came second and Junaid Ullah came third. The winners were given attractive prizes. Dr. Masum Ahmed conducted this episode. 

The delicious lunch menu included plain pulao, hard chicken curry, beef rejala, egg korma and salad. Dessert was cake and watermelon. These delicious dishes were cooked and served by Kazi Rubel Alam. The entire event was supervised by the club's president and general secretary.
