Malaysia welcomes the New Year with various events

Malaysia has welcomed the New Year with a variety of events. Hundreds of people gathered at various locations on Tuesday local time to welcome 2025.

The entrances to the capital Kuala Lumpur become largely impassable from the evening onwards. The administration has to struggle to control the traffic system. In the late evening, when it is night, crowds of people gather at the tourist attractions.

The countdown begins at midnight. At one minute past midnight, Malaysians welcome the New Year with a dazzling display of fireworks over Malaysia's iconic landmarks, including the Twin Towers, a symbol of modern Malaysia, and the new skyscraper The Exchange.

Thousands of people gathered at the grounds adjacent to the Twin Towers and The Exchange in the tourist city of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, since the afternoon to enjoy the magnificent display of fireworks and welcome the New Year. Along with local Malaysians, expatriate Bangladeshis were also present.

At 12:01 am local time, the entire sky of Kuala Lumpur became colorful with the flashes of fireworks. Everyone welcomed the New Year with the sounds of Happy New Year, Happy New Year, and by spraying party spray on each other. Around the New Year, Kuala Lumpur became a meeting place for millions of people speaking different languages.

Apart from this, various entertainment events including fireworks festivals, clowns, puppet shows, etc. also attract everyone's attention. Expatriate Bangladeshis also participate in it.
