It should be noted that Bangladeshi professionals are making important contributions to various sectors of the Canadian economy. Alberta is the most important province in the country's economy. In this province too, the progress of Bangladeshis in economy, education, engineering, health and information technology has not stopped. However, a large number of Bangladeshi job seekers, despite having talent, skills and qualifications, fall behind in the competition compared to candidates from many other communities. Bangladeshi Scholars Association, the Department of Family Medicine, Immigrant and Refugee Help Interest Group of the University of Calgary have come forward with proper advice, guidance and references to solve this problem.

Dr. Associate Professor of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary. Turin Tanveer Chowdhury told the media that such a seminar would help to establish our Bangladeshi community abroad and play a significant role in community integration. Also, common community members will get acquainted with the Bangladeshi students of our university through which the school-college-going youth will benefit in the future.

With the presence of many expatriate Bangladeshis and students from various educational institutions including the University of Calgary, the seminar became a part of Bangladesh.
