International Jalalabad Festival in Paris

Expatriate leaders have demanded the interim government to start flights on the France-Bangladesh route. They made this demand at the International Jalalabad Festival organized by the Global Jalalabad Association France in Paris, France.

The International Jalalabad Festival honors the geniuses of Sylhet from all over the world. At this time, on behalf of the organization, the advisor of the former caretaker government, Professor Dr. Sufia Rahman, and Channel S Chairman Ahmed Us Samad Chowdhury JP were given lifetime honors.

Global Jalalabad France Branch President Faisal Uddin presided over and senior member Zakir Hossain conducted the welcome speech by General Secretary Mizanur Rahman. Scotland's Member of Parliament Faisal Chowdhury MBE, Central President Muhibur Rahman Muhib, Central General Secretary Moinul Haque Chowdhury Helal, Professor Dr. Sufia Rahman, Major General (Retd) Mohammad Ashab Uddin, Sabrina Hossain, CEO of NTV Europe, Channel S Chairman Ahmad Us Samad Chowdhury JP, Iqbal Ahmed OBE Chairman of Seamark Group, Barrister Saifuddin Khaled, Speaker of London Bureau of Tower Hamlets Council, Journalist Moin Uddin Manju, journalist Ibrahim Khalil and others. 

Leaders of Global Jalalabad from different parts of the world including the United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Spain, France, and Bangladesh were present at this grand event.

A colorful magazine edited by journalist Abdul Munim Carroll was published on the occasion of the festival. Various individuals and organizations were awarded at the event for their special contributions to the Bangladeshi community.
