Preparations begin for International Mother Language Day book fair in Campbelltown

The International Mother Language Day Book Fair will be held at the Greg Percival Hall and adjacent Hallinan Park in Campbelltown on Saturday, January 22. A community briefing was organized at a local restaurant in Campbelltown, Sydney, on Saturday (January 18) to coincide with the book fair.

Organized by the Subcontinent Friends of Campbelltown, AB Street Library, and Multicultural Community Connect, the fair will feature book stalls, author corners, new book launches, children's events, and author panel discussions. In the briefing, Book Fair Committee Chairman Dr. Rafiqul Islam outlined the preparations for the book fair and the proposed International Language Monument construction project.

Journalists and community leaders were also informed about the connection of the book fair with the initiative to build an international language monument in Campbelltown. All those present participated in the discussion on related topics including the event planning, book stalls, author corners, new book launches, children's programs, author panel discussions, etc. During the question and answer session, the book fair committee openly answered various constructive questions from journalists and community leaders.

Campbelltown City Councilor Ashiqur Rahman Ash spoke, assuring the overall success of the book fair and all kinds of cooperation. Community members and media personalities, including Janmabhoomi Television Chairman Abu Reza Arefin, Sydney Daily Editor Naeem Abdullah, Fagun Hawa President Tisha Tania, Dream Ki Real Estate's Kishwar Akhtar, Faruk Talukder, Rajan, Bardia Bangla School representative Riyad Alam, and representatives of the Pakistani, Indian and Nepali communities were present. 

Parvez Khan, Kaiser Ahmed, Abdus Sobhan, Kamal Pasha, etc. were present on behalf of the organizing organization. The organizers sought the fullest cooperation of the media and community members in the community briefing.
