Rabindra Jayanti is celebrated in Sydney

Last May 18 (Saturday) Rabindra Janma Jayanti Utsav was celebrated at Sydney's Campbelltown Civic Hall. The event was organized by Sydney diaspora cultural organization Usa Katha. This organization first took the initiative to celebrate Rabindranath's birth jubilee alone in Sydney for the past two years. This was their third event.

Throughout the event, there was Rabindranath's song, poetry, and dance along with the thoughts of the guests about his life and philosophy. After the concert started with the national anthem of Bangladesh written by Rabindranath, the national anthem of Australia was played.

In the first part of the program, the children's chorus started the cultural program by singing 'Alo Amar Alo'. There were new-generation songs, rhymes, and dance performances. Before the start of the cultural program, Milli Islam spoke briefly about Rabindranath.

The cultural phases of the program are divided into the worship phase, nature phase and love phase. Poorvi, Riddha, Jui, Tanima, and Prithibha were in the performance of the puja stage. Shahril Roli, Farin, and Prerna dance group performed on the Prakriti stage. The love stage was performed by Manjushree, Misha, Bandhan, Subarna, Polly Farhad, Maria, Shreyasi, and her Nataraj Dance Academy.

On the occasion of Kazi Nazrul Islam's 125th birth anniversary, Ayesha Koli paid special tribute by singing the song 'Bandholo Bandholi Jhulania'. Divya Jyoti Barua, Partha Barua, Namid Farhan, and Ashiq Sujan were instrumental in the event.
