It is possible to stay safe from many complex diseases like cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease by doing regular checkups as per doctor's advice. Even if these diseases are caught in the early stages, it can be cured. Because now there is no crisis in the treatment of these diseases in the United States.

Specialists in related matters said this at a workshop held in Jamaica last Monday in the joint initiative of the Community Health Forum of New York University (NYU) and India Homes.

In the research statement, they also said that it is possible to keep oneself disease-free through changes in diet and regular exercise. Those who are careful not to gain body weight are living longer. The majority of those suffering from complex diseases are suffering seriously. At this time, in the light of his own experience, Dr. 'Internal Medicine Expert' was the first female secretary of the Bangladeshi American Medical Association. Warnali Hasan mentions that some of my patients have fallen into dire straits by ignoring repeated advice/counseling. Later they recovered but had to bear many hardships.

Priyabhasi Dr. Varnali mentions, that moving properly, and not having too much body weight, cannot be a guarantee of health. So it is important to do the test according to the doctor's advice. So many diseases are easily cured if they are caught at an early stage.

Sabiha Sultana, the associate research coordinator of Masala (The Mediators of Atherosclerosis in South Asians Living in America) studies, said that this research observation of NYU and the University of California, San Francisco, has been going on for a decade and a half ago. In 2021, NYU conducted a survey on the health and safety of elderly expats, and the target was 850. 754 people participated in that place. 570 people are found instead of 600 Bangladeshis. 49% of them were male. The survey revealed that 41.8% of Bangladeshi elderly suffer from diabetes. And 62.2% suffer from high blood pressure. Abnormal weight is 50.2%. This rate is 55.6% among Pakistanis and 30% among Indians. In other words, Indians are the most conscious among the immigrants of these three South Asian countries to keep themselves healthy. However, Bangladeshis are ahead in taking the coronavirus vaccine, the rate is 99.4%. Among Pakistanis, this rate is 97.8%. NIH (National Institute of Health) has provided funding for this 14-year-long research - 21 million dollars. 1.25 million dollars also came from the private sector. Sabiha, who works as a 'community health worker' on the health care of Asian Americans at NYU, also said that 2,300 people have so far participated in the research survey on diabetes, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc.
