Bangladeshi Shayla is the deputy mayor in Belgium

Bangladeshi Shayla Sharmin has been elected for the second time in a row in local elections in Belgium. Shayla is going to get elected as deputy mayor.

Election results were announced on Sunday (October 13) night. In this, the Belgian Workers Party candidate Shayla defeated the Green Party candidate.

After announcing the results of the election, Shayla Sharmin said that due to her second consecutive victory, she is going to get the position of deputy mayor.

He thanked the Bengalis living in Brussels along with his constituency for winning the election. He said that he was able to create history by winning for the second consecutive time as a Bangladeshi because of the cooperation of expatriates.

Residents of Belgium's famous Diamond City Antwerp City and District Borgerheit have chosen their 25 councilors through this election. Out of these 8 are Workers Party nominees.

With a single majority, the party will win the post of mayor and three deputy mayors. One of these three deputy mayors is Barisal's daughter Shayla Sharmin.

It should be noted that the second round of local elections was held in Belgium on Sunday (October 13) in just two weeks. Shayla contested the election in Belgium's famous Diamond City of Antwerp City and District Borgerheit.
