Dhaka District Association's Iftar Mahfil in New York

The Dhaka District Association's Iftar and Prayer Mahfil was held in New York with the wish for peace and prosperity for the entire Muslim world.

It was held on Sunday at the ballroom of the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in New York City.

In addition to the people of Dhaka living abroad, prominent figures from various districts attended the Iftar and Doa Mahfil. Gias Ahmed, a prominent figure in mainstream politics living abroad, was the chief guest. In his speech, he commented that the importance of such an event was immense. 

In his speech at the mahfil, Dhaka District Association President Dulal Behedu expressed deep gratitude to everyone for the huge response to the mahfil despite the inclement weather. 

New York State BNP President Maulana Aliullah Mohammad Atiqur Rahman led a special prayer meeting at the beginning of the iftar, coordinated by the organization's General Secretary Kazi Aminul Islam Swapan.

At this time, community leaders Dr. Masudur Rahman, Md. Rob Mia, Ruhul Amin Siddiqui and others were present on the stage as special guests of honor. In addition, the main sponsor Shahinur Rahman Biplob, sponsor Md. Farid Khan, main coordinator Akhtar Siddiqui Shamim, coordinator Tanvir Ahmed, advisor Engineer Faruk Hossain, Md. Aman Ullah Aman, Md. Habib Joarder, Sheikh Salauddin Ahmed and Shoaib Hossain Khan were also present on the stage.

Kausar Alamgir, Senior Vice President Khairul Alam, Joint General Secretary Abdul Aziz, Assistant General Secretary Dewan Kausar, Office Secretary Md. Farid Khan, Women's Secretary Sharmina Lipi, Executive Member Mostafa Kamal Mukul, Md. Aulad Hossain and others were busy welcoming and entertaining the guests. 

It is worth noting that the 'Dhaka District Association', formed by expatriates from Doha, Nawabganj, Keraniganj, Savar and Dhamrai upazilas, has regained its vitality thanks to the hardworking leadership of Dulal Behedu. 

The recitation of the Holy Quran by the little ones at the Iftar Mahfil caught everyone's attention. Moreover, their number was noticeable even among the attendees.
