The 'Bangladesh Society' election will be held in New York on October 27. Even though the whole community revolved around the election of 'Bangladesh Society', the diaspora did not take any sincere interest in the 49-year-old organization. Because nothing has been done to complement the pledges that candidates make before every biennial election.

More than 350,000 Bangladeshis live in the New York area. Their much-anticipated community center has yet to be established. The leadership of yesteryear was not even able to hold a 'Bangladesh Parade' in New York City. Expatriates also do not feel that they have played a visible role in mainstreaming.

In other words, as the 'Bangladesh Society' was established in 1975 with the promise of overall welfare, ordinary expatriates are being registered as voters in a very short time by spending pocket money. Prospective candidates have also spent huge sums of money on voter registration fees for the elections to be held on October 27.

In this election of 18 thousand 613 voters, two panels are directly in the field. One is led by Ruhul Amin Siddiqui and Zahid Mintu (Ruhul-Zahid Panel) and the other is led by Ataur Rahman Salim and Mohammad Ali (Salim-Ali Panel). Chief Election Commissioner Jamal Ahmed Jani said 5 polling stations will be set up in Queens, Bronx and Brooklyn in New York City. Johnny said that all the preparations have been completed for the election. Candidates' sincere support is now needed in the election ceremony to complement everyone's expectations. I got that promise.
