An extended meeting of 'Bangladesh Community Press Club', an organization of expatriate journalists living in Malaysia, was held.
The meeting held on Sunday (September 24) evening at 'Pitha Ghar', an elite restaurant in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, was presided over by Mostafa Imran Raju, Chairman of the outgoing committee of the organization and R TV's Malaysia representative. The meeting was held under the direction of Mohammad Abdul Quader, General Secretary of the Outgoing Committee and Malaysia Representative of Time TV.
After the discussion in the meeting, the expired previous committee (2020-2021) was unanimously declared dissolved and a five-member convening committee was formed. The convener of this committee is the Malaysia representative of News Express BD. Aminul Islam Ratan and Member Secretary NTV Staff Correspondent Kaiser Hamid Hannan.
Bdnews24.com's Malaysia representative Rafiq Ahmad Khan is the joint convener. In addition, the members are literary and cultural workers PhD student Zeenat A. Tabassum, SA TV's Malaysia correspondent Bappi Kumar Das.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that this committee will convene a general meeting by October 15 and form a regular committee through an acceptable election.
The convener of the organization. Aminul Islam Ratan informed that a new committee will be given by October 15 to bring dynamism to the organization. At the same time, the journalists of various electronic and print media present informed about the selection of the right leadership through the election of new members. All the members of the press club congratulated the new convening committee.
