Khaleda Zia's birthday celebration in New York with great enthusiasm

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's 79th birthday was celebrated in New York on Thursday, August 15, with great enthusiasm and distribution of blessings after prayers. The New York State BNP hosted the main birthday event at Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights. During the anti-discrimination student movement, a special prayer was offered for the souls of those killed and for the speedy recovery of the injured. 

State BNP President Maulana Aliullah Atiqur Rahman presided over the entire program and Secretary Saidur Rahman Said conducted it. Ghiyas Ahmed, a mainstream politician and one of the members of the central committee of BNP, was the chief guest on the occasion. The guest of honor was Abdul Latif Samrat, another member of the central committee. Golam Farooq Shaheen, a member of Tariq Rahman's foreign affairs advisory council, was the special guest. 

The central leader of the Labor Party was among the guests. Dulal, the central leader of Jubodal MA Batin, State BNP Senior Vice President Jasimuddin VP, Senior Joint Secretary Arifur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Raisuddin, former Vice President Md. Anwar Hossain, Joint Convener Journalist Anisur Rahman, Dewan Kausar, Humayun Kabir, Ashraf Hossain, Badrul Haque Azad, AR Mahbub Haque, Hero Moshiur Rahman, Waheed Ali Mondal, Tajul Chairman, Hafizur Rahman Pintu, Zeenat Rehana Rina, Zahirul Islam, United States Labor Party President Jahangir Alam and others. 

Ghiyas Ahmed said in the speech given at that time, that Bangladesh should be freed from corruption by utilizing the benefits of this new freedom gained through long struggle and many sacrifices and everyone should work together to consolidate democratic institutions on the path of rule of law.
