Mirza Azam was given a civic reception in New York on July 7

7 consecutive MP, former state minister and organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Mirza Azam will be given a civic reception in New York. This welcome gathering has been organized at the Gulshan Terrace Auditorium adjacent to Jackson Heights on the initiative of Jamalpur district residents on July 7. 

On this occasion, a 17-member convening committee has been announced with brave freedom fighter Nazmul Haque as convener, community leader Farid Alam as member-secretary and advocate Morsheda Zaman as chief coordinator. Other members are brave freedom fighter Lablu Ansar, Saidur Rahman Shelley, community leader Alhaj Saleh Shafiq Genda, Khandaker Abu Murad, banker Shahadat Hussain Babu, agriculturist Ashrafuzzaman, Duke Khan, Abu Bakar Siddique, Nasir Iqbal, Rabiul Islam, Zahurul Islam, Shafiqul Islam and A Khan Biplab and others. 

Mirza Azam will be welcomed at JFK Airport on the morning of June 25, according to a decision taken at a meeting held on Tuesday evening, June 11, at the auditorium of 'Itzi Chinese' in Jackson Heights under the chairmanship of Labloo Ansar. During the family's 16-day visit to the United States, Mirza Azam may visit California, Hawaii, Florida, besides Niagara Falls. 

Another preparatory meeting will be held in Jamaica on the evening of June 18 to make Mirza Azam's US tour a success. Jamalpur residents have been asked for their full assistance in this regard.
