Awami League is a dead body, there is no point in dragging this dead body. Trying to create an unstable situation by spreading propaganda in the country and abroad will not succeed. The people of the country have decided that the Awami League will no longer be able to do politics in Bangladesh, said Nurul Haque Nur, president of the People's Rights Council, former VP of DUCSU, and chief advisor of the Bangladesh Probashi Odhikar Parishad.
He made this statement as the chief guest at a meeting titled 'The Role of Expatriates in the July Uprising and Expectations for Building a New Bangladesh in the Future' organized by the Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council France Branch at an elite hall. Regarding the behavior of neighboring India, VP Nur said, 'We do not want a neighbor with hegemonic, master-like and slave-like behavior. We want a dignified friendship with our neighbors.'
He called on the expatriates, saying, "The expatriates must work to establish Bangladesh as a dignified nation in the world."
The meeting was held in the hall of a star hotel near Paris, chaired by Shahin Ahmed Morol, president of the organization's French branch, and moderated by Acting General Secretary Ashikur Rahman and Organizing Secretary Nurul Gani Joni.
The event was attended as special guests by Gana Odhikar Parishad Central Joint General Secretary Abul Hossain Jibon, Central International Affairs Secretary Khairul Amin, former President of France BNP Sirajul Islam Mia, former General Secretary of France BNP MA Taher, former Joint General Secretary of France BNP Juned Ahmed, Joint General Secretary of Expatriate Rights Parishad Haider Hossain, senior journalist and human rights activist Mahbub Hossain, Bangladesh Community in France (BCF) President MD Noor, AISA Pro President Obaid Ullah Koyes, Aid Point Director Faisal Mahmud, Ziaur Rahman Foundation Member and Mirza Group President Mirza Mazharul Islam, Director of Desh Service Shajahan Ahmed, BCF Vice Presidents Faruk Hossain, Abdur Rahman Shipon, General Secretary Nazmul Kabir, Joint General Secretary Journalist Mosaddek Hossain Saiful, Executive Members Abul Kalam Azad, Mohammad and Zahirul Islam, among others.
The event included leaders of political, social, and cultural organizations of the Bangladeshi community in France, journalists from print and electronic media, and leaders of the Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council France.
