Sports creates friendship, sports creates unity, sports ensures cooperation and solidarity. Campbelltown Bangla School believes that besides practicing Bengali language and culture, it is very important to create a sportsmanship and humane mentality. And so with the motto "Sports for all and everyone wins" a day is naturally set aside in the Bengali school's annual schedule for healthy recreation and sports.
Today on September 24, this much awaited sports festival is held at Campbelltown Bangla School premises. Kazi Ashfaq Rahman, general secretary of the school, started the program by singing the national anthems of Bangladesh and Australia and paying respect to the traditional custodians at 10 am. The students participated with great interest in various interesting games like running, memory training, general knowledge test, ball kicking, bowling, seven legs, one leg leap, flower tapping, rope jumping. Parents and executive committee members also spontaneously participate in this sports festival.
Nazmul Ahsan Khan, member of the management board of Campbelltown Bangla School, well-wisher and former parent Nahar Khan Sandhya, principal Rumana Khan Mona, class teachers Shayla Yasmin Nusrat, Anita Mondal, Visakha Pal, Nusrat Maury and Saima Haque distributed prizes to the participants of this annual sports festival. Under the supervision of Sports Secretary Rafael Rosario, this year's sports festival was conducted by executive committee member Yakub Ali. Asad, Tabassum, Mitu, Linda, Topi, Lutfa, Silvia, Yasmeen, Magdalena, Nooreen, Alisha, Dripta, Srija etc. assisted in the management of the game.
Nurul Islam Shahin, Faisal Khalid Shubo, Mosiul Azam Khan Swapan, Azizur Rahman, Mrinmoy Pal, Sumit Roy, Zeeshan Ali, Ranjan Pal, Masood Parvez and Kazi Ashfaq Rahman were in attendance. At 2:30 in the afternoon, the end of the festival was announced by thanking everyone and expressing the hope of organizing more interesting sports festivals in the future.
It should be noted that Campbelltown Bangla School is open every Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm for all Bengali speakers irrespective of caste and creed.
