Island Vikings Gold Cup Football Tournament Champions Youth League in New York

Jubo Sangh Sporting Club became the champion in the 'Island Vikings Gold Cup Football Tournament' held on August 18 under the initiative of 'Island Vikings Sporting Club' in New York. 

Aisab Sporting Club was the runner-up. Twenty teams participated in the day-long tournament at the Prospect Park Parade Ground in Brooklyn.

Feroz Ahmed, President of Sandwip Society, inaugurated this colorful tournament in the presence of thousands of spectators. Haji Abdul Quader Mia, founder and president of 'The Kader Mia Foundation' distributed the trophy between the champion and runner-up teams in the game. 

Lion Fazlul Quader, Kazi Hayat Nazrul, Suman Rahman Murad, founder-president of the host organization, Monirul Islam Monir, founder-president of Sandwip United Club, Nizamul Haider, president of Sandwip Sporting Club, president of Sandwip Municipal Welfare Association, prominent construction businessmen were present at the inauguration and award distribution. It should be noted that 'Dwip Vikings Sporting Club' founded by a bunch of Sandwip sportsmen living in the New York region is playing a great role in engaging the generation growing up in the diaspora with sports, said Sudheejan. 

In this highly competitive tournament, the semi-finals were participated by 'Dwip Vikings Sporting Club', 'Yubsangh Sporting Club', AISAB Sporting Club, and Bronx Star Sporting Club. 

The final was played between Jubo Sangh Sporting Club and AISAB Sporting Club. In this, Jubo Sangh Sporting Club became the champion and ISAB Sporting Club became the runners-up. President of the organization Sumon Rahman Murad expressed his deep gratitude to all those present on the field for supporting the tournament in a festive atmosphere. He concluded the program by expressing hope for more beautiful tournaments in the future.
