Shiv Shankar Pal, a Bangladeshi runner living in Munich and living in Bayern, has participated in the Munich General International Marathon for a record 22 times in Germany. He ran with the red-green flag in the crowd of about 26 thousand 500 competitors from 120 countries worldwide.
This is Shiv Shankar's 132nd international marathon. The historic marathon took place in Munich on Sunday (October 13). Lakhs of visitors gathered from different parts of the city to watch this marathon even on a rainy day.
Starting from the city's traditional Olympia Park, this 41.195 km marathon passes through various important and historical places of the city, including Leopoldstrasse, English Garden, Marienplatz, Ziegestor, Chinese Tower, and Odeonplatz, and ends at the Olympic Stadium. Shiv Shankar Pal took 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete the 42 km trek.
